Southern Launch has signed an agreement with Canadian firm Reaction Dynamics to launch the first rocket from South Australia's Koonibba Test Range to reach space, targeting a 2025 launch. This mission aims to send the 7.3-meter Aurora rocket to an altitude of 125 kilometers, marking the first Koonibba launch to cross the space threshold. The Koonibba Test Range, the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, has seen four launches since 2020, but this will be its inaugural space-reaching flight.
